HoGa delivers flavor bigger than its small takeout storefront would suggest. Fried foods are made fresh to order, at the price this must be one of the best deals in Toronto

This is a fantastic hole in the wall takeout place run by an elderly Korean couple. The line can get pretty long during lunch hour but everything is so fresh and tastes amazing. Epitome of cheap, delicious takeout!

One of the most affordable lunch spots in Toronto! You choose a main dish out of a handful of options and it comes with rice and two sides. Expect a long wait during lunch (probably 20-25 mins if you go right at lunch time)

Really affordable food in mom and pop shop downtown in the financial district. Only an elderly couple works here. Long lineups even when you line up before they open but worth it! Small but great selection of delicious food. Good portion size. Cash only

One of the best value places in the city for great food! I got the chicken katsu with kimchi and noodles and a drink for 10. Everything is freshly made and packed with great Korean flavours! The couple that run the place work very hard and are very nice. Can get busy but, they handle the volume of customers very well. Only open limited hours during work days but, well worth it if you’re in the area!

Small takeout place in the PATH with very affordable Korean takeout. All of the items were made fresh and most are ready to go. All menu items are fairly affordable and is recommended to come early as it gets busy very quickly (lineups can start even before 12pm). The staff are extremely helpful and friendly to help with your order.

After reading many good reviews about this place, I decided to give it a try. It is run by an elderly couple, and often sees long lineups - so you'll need to be patient. By the time I got there around 1:30 p.m., there was still about a 10-minute wait, and they were out of some dishes, but they still had chicken katsu, which was going to be my second choice anyway. The katsu was absolutely delicious - and I liked the salad and coleslaw as well. Rice was OK. Good portion size. The food appears to all be homemade. I definitely recommend this place if you have the patience.

Super cheap filling lunch for 10 dollars. Chicken katsu and beef bulgogi pictured. It can get busy at noon with all the office workers.
